One of my favorite travel companions is a pretty sleep mask I purchased on the Big Island of Hawaii from a talented seamstress at the Waimea farmers market. I cannot sleep if there is any bit of day light peeking through the curtains. And some days, I like to sleep in, especially on vacation! Then, I found at home, when my husband wanted to stay up and read, I could use my sleep mask to block out the lamp light and fall right asleep. Needless to say, my little mask has a big benefit to me! So, this year we developed our own sleep masks with dh fabric. They are satin on the outside, and soft velvet on the inside with a comfortable strap, and block out the light, beautifully. The perfect and practical travel companion and a great gift too!
