These roses were painted from Mesa’s Community College Rose Garden. This garden is the largest public rose garden in the desert Southwest and is the only significant public rose garden begun since 1974. It provides a beautiful setting for students and the public to enjoy our nation’s national flower.
The sky in these pieces is also significant. As anyone living in Arizona knows, July marks the beginning the “monsoon season.” It is during this time of year that we get the most beautiful skies with amazing clouds that will hopefully produce rain.
The skies in these pieces are continuous, each a 4th of one horizon. They are a tribute to my state and my country! Happy 4th!
