All at once the day is gone
The sun sinks into the sea
But there is no chill
In the balmy air,
For you are here with me.
The waves sing a melodious song
Changing coral into sand
And I have no worries
No sad thoughts,
For you are holding my hand.
The tidal pools are full at last
With Honu from far and near
As the last light fades
In the western sky
You whisper in my ear.
The breeze carries sweet fragrance
Like perfume exquisitely fine
And I breathe it in
And drink it down,
like Hawaiian moon shine.
