“Because two are better than one.”

Not too long ago, upon completion, I penned that line about this special little painting. Times were different then. The people of the world have exchanged gathering for quarantining. Hugs for shoe taps, smiles for mask. But no man is an island, not now, not ever. We need each other and we need sweet exchanges, kind gestures, grace.

In many regions across our country right now it’s spring. Colorful flowers are forcing their way through the earth and reaching towards the sun. We can do the same. Maybe just start with a smile and a wave, because it’s the little things that will make a giant difference.
