There is so much I want to say about this painting.  It all gets emotional for me; a love for this place, a respect for the rancher who cares for this land, the symbolism of a bright spot in the midst of a storm, the character of a sunflower leaning in, the hope of rain, and the promise of renewal after a devastating season of fire or drought. And yes, the title is meaningful to me as well. It is my encouragement to you, the viewer, to be the best you can be at whatever God has gifted you with, and be a blessing to others.

Inspired by the wild flowers of the White Mountains, Arizona, after the recovery of the Wallow Fire, 2011 that burned 538,049 acres.
