Desert marigolds can be overlooked, and taken for granted. But what would Arizona be (or bee, pun intended) without these bright, sunny, yellow blooms? They pop up everywhere in early spring; in the desert, along our roadways, and in my yard, reseeding themselves faithfully year after year. So, I framed this sweet bloom with the perfect complement, a yummy blue-green agave.
